ABOUT ROBERT LANG

In July 2025 Rob finished a wonderful 4 year assignment as Area Legal Counsel for Central America for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He moved back to Utah from Guatemala City and began his new role as Senior Counsel in the Office of General Counsel at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In December 2020 Rob finished 18 months at Holland and Hart LLP as Of Counsel Tax Attorney consulting with various companies on tax and tax litigation matters. Rob has nearly 28 years of Big 4 Accounting experience,(primarily at KPMG LLP) including nearly 20 years as a Partner. During his career he had significant executive management experience and an excellent track record of successfully building and managing large high performing teams (both domestically and globally) and multiple large- scale projects for the Firm and for many Fortune clients. His background includes: Consulting with management and corporate boards on complex tax and financial matters for some of the Firm’s largest clients, leading and managing geographic business units and service lines, leading the development of a Global Services Delivery strategy and model (including the building of centers in India and Hungary and advising many member firms across the globe on Delivery Center strategy and development) and serving as the Chief Data Transformation Officer for the US Firm (while in this role Rob worked with the Management Committee and many process owners across the Firm to develop KPI’s and metrics, a data sourcing model and warehouse, policies and procedures for data usage and a visualization tool allowing for real time access to pertinent information). Over his career, Rob has earned the reputation of being a talented and disciplined leader and has often been selected to lead complex and high-profile projects for the Firm. He is known for his ability to get things done and for creating a work atmosphere in which open communications, a sense of urgency, and rapid execution of well understood plans lead to bottom-line, measurable success. Today Rob, as a recently retired Partner, is focused on creating a portfolio of corporate/community boards and advisory activities.
