I am a stickler for the details and manage messages seamlessly across a broad range of audiences.Some of my career highlights include the following:• I established bi-partisan policy working groups that successfully pushed through rulemaking on securities markets technology and the use of data tagging (e.g, Inline XBRL) to help modernize investor disclosures.• I was responsible for negotiating and drafting key provisions of the SEC’s rulemaking mandated by the Dodd-Frank Act and the JOBS Act.• I personally supervised and coordinated over 6,200 votes, 40 public speeches, and 100 public statements.• I was awarded the SEC’s very first Brookings Institute Legis Congressional Fellowship to work alongside the Senate Banking Committee staff and staff in U.S. Senator Jack Reed’s Office.• I was recognized for my participation in high-profile securities fraud investigations that resulted in the recovery of over $200 million and the collection of over $400 million in penalties and other monetary sanctions.Before my 20-year tenure with the SEC, I worked in public accounting and advisory services.
