   This position is responsible for writing new vehicle specifications for Public Safety vehicles, Police, EMS, Communications,(OEM) Office Of Emergency Management, Sewer vehicles, Land Use vehicles, Plant Operations vehicles, equipment, Construction Support vehicles and specialized heavy construction equipment.This position has the responsibility of managing 31 employees, operates within a budget for the repair or replacement of vehicles and specialized equipment. Managing balances for purchase orders and vendors work. Manages vendor estimates and repairs for accuracy and quality.The Equipment Coordinator has the responsibility of preparing, photographing and documenting all of a vehicles information prior to being placed on GovDeals. Once a vehicle has met it\'s service life, those units are posted on GovDeals.(An online auction to sell off unneeded inventory.)The Equipment Coordinator works closely with the Garage Supervisors and our Data Technicians to insure accuracy with our customers concerns and needs.
