Robert provides clients direct, actionable, and efficient guidance with respect to data protection issues and privacy compliance across the globe. Though specializing in global privacy compliance in information technology, he offers considerable experience in privacy in the financial and consumer sectors, as well. He is a subject matter expert on the GDPR (the EU\'s General Data Protection Regulation) and works regularly with the CCPA, the UK Data Protection Act of 2018, the Australian Privacy Act, and the privacy laws of various other jurisdictions. Before shifting his professional focus to privacy, Robert negotiated hundreds of IT agreements, including software licenses, SaaS agreements, and Cloud agreements, for both providers and consumers of these products. An experienced negotiator, Robert has drafted playbooks for junior negotiators, allowing them to represent their clients as effectively as do their seniors. Robert delights in finding value for his clients through a considered, risk-based approach to contract negotiations and a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to compliance. When not keeping up on the latest developments in the shifting privacy regulatory landscape, Robert enjoys tutoring students in math and writing and playing with his two young sons.
