ABOUT ROBERT MINGARD
Having worked in policing for 30 years, of which over 22 years I have been an operational police officer, I have been fortunate to have worked in a variety of units, such as the Crime Squad, Robbery & Burglary Team, Community Neighbourhood Team and Specialist Crime. I have lead investigations into major motor vehicle crimes and worked alongside major manufactures including BMW and Ford. My current role at The Royal London Hospital, as Trauma Officer allows me to utilise my calm and pragmatic skills to appropriately engage with victims of serious crimes and provide them a professional services, while ensuring the continuity of evidence be retained to a high standard and information obtained is provided to the appropriate investigative unit timely. I am affectionately known by NHS staff as ‘Uncle Robbie’ and believe that a strong working relationship is built with strong values and rapport. As I look to the future and my life beyond policing, I am trained in Health and Safety IOSH & NEBOSH, with hopes to undertake further courses to be a trainer.
