Northern Gateway Project (US$8.0B)- A dual pipeline system consisting of an NPS 36 pipeline system to transport up to barrels per day of blended bitumen (oil) from the Bruderheim, AB to Kitimat, BC, and an NPS 20 pipeline system to supply up to barrels per day of diluent (condensate) from Kitimat, BC to Bruderheim, AB. Both pipelines will share the same new right-of-way along the project pipeline route, a distance of about 1,178 km. As WorleyParsons’ Project Director, I am responsible for the project team in the preparation of the FEED and Class Cost Estimate for the pipeline system(s) to meet safety, quality, budget and schedule objectives, clearly outlined in the Preparation Plan, which specifies the Scope of Work. The Preparation Plan, which preceded the FEED and Class 3 Cost Estimate, was jointly prepared by WorleyParsons and Northern Gateway Pipeline project teams.
