ABOUT ROBERT MADSEN

Robert Madsen is a macroeconomist and geopolitical analyst who advises financial institutions, corporations, and governments on international developments and strategy. He is presently Lecturer in Law at Stanford Law School, where he teaches a course on Law, Geopolitics, and De-globalization. He also consults for one of the world\'s largest global professional services firms on such issues as China\'s rise, India\'s potential as a geopolitical counterpoise and as an alternative manufacturing base, the Ukraine War, the fragmentation of the global economy, and economic and political forecasting. In recent years he has advised the Ford Foundation on ESG investment and governance reform; and analyzed demographic trends for a $200 billion investment group and a prominent security consultancy. He additionally helped organize, and sat on the steering committee of, the Oxford/Rhodes Pandemic Policy Summit. Robert is a member of the California State Bar and is fluent in Japanese and Mandarin Chinese.
