ABOUT ROBERT M.
Head of Research at the Saudi British Joint Business Council (SBJBC), a bilateral trade organisation connecting UK and Saudi commercial interests. I joined in January 2025 to build the Research Arm as a new offering for the SBJBC membership.The SBJBC Research Arm produce sector whitepapers, geostrategic briefings, joint-member publications, and post-event reports across all sectors, including defence, healthcare, education, energy, and insurance. These outputs can be commissioned by SBJBC members and act to inform the membership, deliver market intelligence to government agencies, institutional investors, and private-sector firms operating in or entering the Saudi market.Alongside the written research, I organise and support roundtables, workshops, and delegations. This involves regular engagement with government representatives and senior executives across both sides of the relationship.I hold an MA in Conflict, Security, and Development (Distinction) from the University of Exeter and a BA in International Relations.
