ABOUT ROBERT LAWRENCE

Through hard work, adaptability, and a willingness to learn I was able to transform from a non-education background to a successful 9 year tenure as a high school classroom teacher. After 9 years in the classroom with leading scores on the Florida U.S. History End of Course Exam, and 5 straight years of the highest evaluation grade possible I was given the opportunity to transition to a leadership role as the Lee County Social Studies Coach/Content Specialist servicing all schools in Lee County. I focus on helping teachers reach their fullest potential by working with them to improve instruction and provide instruction resources. When I entered education I also put my background in baseball, including the three seasons (20••••11) I worked in Baseball Operations with the Tampa Bay Rays, to use as a high school baseball coach. I have served as a hitting coach, pitching coach, and head coach over 9 seasons from 20••••20. As a head coach I built detailed scouting reports, built practice plans, branded programs, orchestrated recruitment of athletes, and most importantly lead and developed men. I have been a part of dozens of players playing collegiate baseball, a handful signing professional contracts, multiple Regional appearances, and a #1 ranking in 2020. My ability to organize, plan, strategize, and lead allowed each of the programs I was a part of to be highly successful.
