ABOUT ROB KURLAND
I am a Filmmaker/Editor with a Bachelor’s in the Arts from Columbia College Chicago, with a focus in film/video Postproduction, and 10 Years experience. I\'m well versed in all editing styles, from narrative, documentary and commercial, to abstract experimental. I have extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Avid, and Final Cut Pro Studio, among other software. I also have a collaborative mindset and a strong drive towards coming up with new and creative concepts. In my current role as Director of Video Production/Postproduction at Digi-Me, I am responsible for leading the Postproduction Team and overseeing onsite productions, working closely with other departments to meet client needs in a timely manner and make sure their brand is represented in a creative way. I also work on various new technology driven methods of editing in order to maximize not only the quality of the final videos, but the speed at which they can be produced. My background was originally in abstract film, so I like to think this provides me with a unique view of the editing process, as well as problem solving as a whole. I love developing new concepts with fellow creatives, especially in a nurturing environment. I\'m a believer that there is no such thing as a bad idea during the brainstorming process.
