ROBERT KREITMAN, co-leader of the firm’s Tax group, is based in the New York office, where he focuses on the structured finance, securitization, financial products and credit derivative areas. Robert’s principal areas of experience include residential and commercial mortgage-backed securitization, asset-backed securitization (including credit card, auto loan, auto lease, consumer loan, consumer lease and student loan securitizations) and structured finance including the structuring of REO-to-rental financings, servicer advance financings, debt repackagings, securitization of non-performing and re-performing mortgage loans, catastrophe bonds, insurance-linked securities, distressed asset funds, structured notes, credit-default swaps and synthetic securitizations.Robert has been recognized for his work in the Tax practice by various publications including Chambers and Partners where he was called “very practical, flexible and helpful,” and a “top notch attorney with excellent judgment and business sense,” by clients, The Legal 500, Tax Directors Handbook 2014, The International Who\'s Who of Corporate Tax Lawyers 2014 and 2015 and Practical Law Company.Attorney Advertising.
