I have been teaching an advanced-level reading and writingn noncredit ESL class. I have taught vocabulary, short stories, and various essays. Plus, I have used Pearson\'s My English Lab for students to use the Pearson English Interactive. Also, students have done an in-class oral presentation based on a a book review. In addition, I have used Brightspace for students to submit their homework, check their in -class essay quizzes, and to download material covered in class. Likewise, I have used Quetext.com and Brightspace to help detect plagiarism from online sources and AI (artificial intelligence) for essay homework assignments. Furthermore, when students are reading a story, they work in groups with sentence stems-frames yo respond to questions that require higher order thinking skills.

ABOUT ROBERT KIM
I am very active and committed to enhancing my craft to improve various aspects of my teaching craft. I am always eager to learn new approaches and engage in my own personal research. In addition to regularly attending conferences and workshops, I surf the net and read articles and cultural or pedagogical books to find ways to upgrade my instructional repertoire. This has lead to develop my own professional development toward learning intercultural communication, andragogy (adult learning), curriculum design, and even leadership development. Furthermore, I have a passion for professional networking in the field of ESL/EFL teaching to learn from speakers, book publisher reps, and other teachers in seminars, conferences, and workshops. I have even served as a mentor to help EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teachers of all backgrounds and expereinces to provide consultationan and guidance, such as dealing with Korean culture in the classroom and workplace, tips for classroom management, and getting ready for job interviews for teaching positions. I have even developed an interest in developing the art of professional networking and connecting with others. Through this I have learned to do the following: giving to get, learning from others, and even seeking mentors for the growth and publicity of KOTESOL.
