ABOUT ROBERT JURGENS
Hi, I\'m Robert. I am a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) since 2022. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Mathematics with highest honors. 🤘My experience spans a broad range of reserving, pricing, and capital modeling including- Evaluating reserves for Workers\' Compensation, Auto Liability, and General Liability insurance for group captives and self-insured clients- Leading new member pricing and annual renewal analyses for group captives- Building underwriting risk, reserving risk, and operational risk distributions within economic capital models.I have also had opportunities to lead a variety of projects in my career including developing an exposure management web application using R, designing pandemic risk distributions for Event Cancellation insurance, and analyzing rating agency capital requirements to inform strategic decision-making.I embrace emerging technologies and find creative ways to blend them into my work so that as the industry changes, my skill set can keep up. I look forward to seeing how the actuarial science field leverages these changes in technology and hope to be a part of it.I am also dedicated to mentoring future actuaries, helping students develop their careers, and fostering growth and collaboration within my professional career.
