My current role with the Virginia Department of Veterans Services allows me to lead the Information Technology Infrastructure and Operations team and work on improvements for customer service to our staff and clients. At my previous role I focused on a cloud first strategy, providing an exceptional user experience for our business. My educational background is in Chemical Engineering, but I\'ve also obtained an MBA in Technology Management, since I\'ve worked in the IT field for the past 20 years. I have a variety of IT experience in enterprise systems and project management. I transitioned into IT while working on my MCSE with Windows servers and network administration. I\'ve worked in public and Private sector with governmental organizations, chemical manufacturers, security, and enterprise IT projects. My focus has been with cost management, supplier management, SAP-integrated systems, Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), distributed control systems, and laboratory information management systems.
