I’m always on the lookout for meaningful topics that help others connect with finance in a practical, approachable way Professionally, I serve as Controller at Telling Industries, where I lead financial operations with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and strategic insight. With over 10 years of experience in Finance and Accounting across manufacturing and corporate environments, I’ve managed P&L ownership, forecasting, cost accounting, and strategic planning. I’ve also developed and integrated SAP-based models to clarify product costing, overhead allocation, and margin analysis—transforming complexity into actionable insights that drive business performance. Prior to this, I was Quality Systems Manager at Continental (ContiTech division), where I helped construct an Integrated Management System architecture for our manufacturing footprint across North and South America. In that role, I managed Quality Assurance KPI monitoring, the Quality Management System, and project management within our Business Area—blending Agile and conventional methodologies while mentoring cross-functional teams. This quality-focused role has deepened my understanding of Lean, Kaizen, and 5S—not just as tools, but as cultural anchors for continuous improvement. It’s also reinforced my belief that finance and operations thrive when they work hand-in-hand. I’ve lived in Northeast Ohio my entire life and love the rhythm of our four seasons. Fall is my favorite—our parks system is incredible, and I enjoy walking forest trails with my wife and kids, soaking in the vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows. I’ve been happily married for over 25 years. My wife is a Certified Med-Surg Nurse at the Cleveland Clinic. We have two daughters (one in high school, one in college) and a son who works within the US Postal Service—and got married, so our family grew a little bigger! We love going to Cedar Point, watching movies, and spending time with friends. I’m also a big fan of the Cleveland Guardians and a bit obsessive about Browns games. When I’m not cheering them on, you’ll find me gardening or working out at the gym.
