New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP) is a non-profit organization estsablished in our state over 20 years ago to support the vitality and growth of the manufacturing industry. Manufacturing is an overlooked industry that is an important engine of a successful economy. Our mission is to help build and sustain that engine through a range of services and solutions that focus on operational excellence, innovation and growth and value-add workforce development programs. Since NJMEP has helped NJ manufacturers realize more than $3.8 billion in value.*Build collaborative working relationships with employers for the development and advancement of apprenticeship programs to address talent shortages and underskilled workforces.*Develop partnerships with vocational-technical schools, community colleges, four year educational institiutions, community-bassed and non-profit organizations to create a network for sourcing viable candidates to be trained for employment in the manufacturing industry.*Establishing NJMEP as the state leader in the implementation of apprenticeship programs to provide a new talent pool of production and logistics technicians in the manufacturing industry sector.*Oversee and manage all project activities for multiple apprenticeship training groups across the state.*Support the usage of varied funding streams to facilitate and expedite the delivery of our programs.
