As Chief Dam Engineer, I engage throughout the project cycle, including risk review, project delivery, execution lead and/or QA/QC role, focusing on technical leadership and risk management, including responsible charge of major flood control, dam, or levee design projects.Oroville Dam, California – California Department of Water Resources - Task Leader for the Comprehensive Needs Assessment for the Flood Control Outlet (FCO), including project management, FCO Seismic Walkdown, screening level assessment of operating equipment, survey and development of FCO needs and proposed measures, Level 2 Risk Analysis workshops, risk reduction semi-quantitative risk analysis, development of integrated comprehensive needs schedule and report, performance-based monitoring.Penstock Inspections - Responsible engineer, performed visual, structural condition assessments and development of hazard summaries and reports in northern California Sierras for 7 hydropower facilities. Water Conveyance/Canal Inspections - Performed structural inspection of over 22 miles of structures on 4 hydroelectric canals, including concrete, steel, and wooden box, and Lennon flumes, lined canal sections, steel pipes, and tunnel portals, spillways, intake structures, gates, and valves, along hydropower water conveyance systems in the remote areas of the central California Sierras.Turkey Peak Dam, Mineral Wells, Texas – Technical reviewer of new roller compacted concrete and adjacent embankment dam section, and modifications to existing Palo Pinto Dam.Syphon Reservoir Project - Technical reviewer of expanded reservoir, supplemental spillway and outlet design layout evaluations.Harbor Levee Stabilization, Port Freeport, Texas - Technical reviewer of project to accommodate widening of ship channel, levee stabilization, sheetpile wall installation.
