Fully certified electronics systems specialist with over 20 years both hands-on and managerial / project management experience in both a Military and Non-Military environment. Specialism – hardware- Practical and applied hardware experience: e.g. cable fabrication; crimping; soldering methods and insulation handling, populating and testing printed circuit boards, Assembling electronic and mechanical components to predefined specifications, manufacturing of wiring harnesses for testing apparatus to be connected with computer interfaces…- 15 years in the Navy has given me Cross-Training in the areas of HAZMAT, Nuclear/Biological/Chemical Defence, Firefighting, Flood Control, Advanced First Aid, Naval Boarding Party, Machinery Control Room Certification and Remotely Operated Vehicles experience- Performing repairs and maintenance on electronic interfaces of the analytical equipment installed in various laboratory settings- Management experience: Managed and trained apprentice technicians in Corrective/Preventive Maintenance; this included writing their Personnel Evaluation Reports that detailed their strengths and areas for improvement- Highly effective troubleshooter (both finding and correcting faults) as I am fully conversant with schematics and functional descriptions- Proficient at writing all types of publications and schematics, stores procedures and ship procedures- Hands on experience with Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Cooling and High Voltage systems- On my own initiative, cross-trained to assume responsibility for seven separate control systems each containing over parts and components.
