My experience covers successes both as an individual contributor or team player in the Concept, Development, Assembly, Test, and Release of multiple products. Markets include Consumer Electronics, Industrial Sensors and Controls, Military, Space, Aerospace, Electronic Components, Embedded Systems, as well as Manufacturing Processes and Custom Constructed Assets. Individual contributor: From designing encapsulation molds for optical devices in the early 80’s to owning the systems design of complex industrial controls and constructed assets, I have owned and provided multiple Mechanical, Optical, Electrical, and SW designs. Team Player: Managing teams both in a cross functional and matrix environment. Direct reports (both Contract and FTE’s) have been distributed throughout the United States from Georgia to Washington, as well as globally in Singapore, China, Malaysia, and India. Teams managed (Hire to Release) are: Assembly, Test, Shipping & Receiving, Inventory, Field Service, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Machine Shop, Documentation, and Process Engineering. Project Management: Owning responsibility for budget and resources of complex asset development, and deployment, I have extensive use of MS Project as well as the entire MS Office toolkit to both communicate and manage team deliverables Meeting the business needs: In today’s global environment, I have personally owned New Product Introductions (NPI), installed products (constructed assets, sensors and controls, and products), trained teams (manufacturing, CM/ODM’s, customers, sales, and engineering), been involved in Source selection, worked on design wins, and provided sales feedback, support, and customer service in the USA, Germany, Netherlands, France, Switzerland, China, Singapore, Korea, Japan, Indonesia, India, and Malaysia.
