I was in sales for over 20 years. Today, I have spent over hours with Coding Dojo. I have an excellent base in Python, Javascript as well as Java and thoroughly find the career change to a software developer absolutely fascinating.Recently, I completed a 16-week Coding Bootcamp to enhance my technical skill set. In fact, I started Coding Dojo with no coding experience and I\'ve had a computer since 1995.I grew up in the 80s, so the movie War Games got me interested in computers. Back then, there weren\'t any computer stores. We didn\'t have computer classes at school either. The most advanced machines we had were electric typewriters. I remember an Apple computer in Elementary school that just sat in the corner. I do remember taking a couple of computer classes at the community college. I remember telling my mom they were just a way for the college to make money. We were on terminals with a central computer and did some basic commands but nothing relevant. In high school, my parents thought it was funny that I wanted a computer. We even had a relative give us a computer, but it did not have an OS. I had no idea that we needed an operating system or where to get one. I guess you could say I was discouraged. In 1995, I bought my first computer from Gateway with my own hard-earned money.
