Born in Melbourne/Australia, grown up in Germany, studies at Mannheim University (economics). I have joined Robert Bosch in 1980 and I enjoyed an extremely interesting and inspiring business life in this unique and diverse company. Different assignments in Germany, France, Spain and the UK, working in different industries as Automotive, Power Tools, Consumer Electronics and Telecom. Last position: President of the Automotive Aftermarket. After my retirement in June 2013 I became member of the Board of Management of the in-house Consulting Bosch Management Support. From 2015 until 2023 I have joined the Board of Directors of LKQ Corporation, based in Chicago. Since 2018 I am Senior Advisor to McKinsey and in 2020 I have joined the Strategic Advisory Board of MOBILION VC, Israel. From 2021 until 2024 I was Chairman of the Board of Directors of MEKO Group, Sweden and since 2021 I am Member of the Board of FERSA Group, Spain. Further I have enjoyed a number of assignments in different organizations and associations as SMMT, VDA, Clepa, etc. I have been Chairman of the German British Chamber of Commerce in London (19••••01). It has been a great honour to be awarded the Federal Cross of Merit (Bundesverdienstkreuz) Another professional and personal highlight is being part of BBUG (Baden Badener Unternehmer Gespräche)
