Manufacturing Engineering Manager for the teams delivering the Stack assembly processes for the JLR battery programmes as part of the change to electrification. Previously as part of the Powertrain Manufacturing team for the Engine Manufacturing Centre in Wolverhampton I was the Lead Engineer for the installation of cylinder block machining lines.The team that I led have designed, procured, installed, undertaken capability and handed-over production equipment that totals in excess of £100 million within budget and on time (cradle to grave). Equipment that has been installed include CNC 5 axis machining centres, Honing machines for cylinder and crank bores, various assembly and leak test equipment, cylinder bore liner insertion equipment, automation and gantries. Working with and within cross functional teams that are not only within JLR, but also across Europe with equipment suppliers to ensure that the supplied equipment is the best for high volume Powertrain production. All equipment supplied is similar to that installed at all other Global OEM\'s. Quality of the product is paramount and capability runs are undertaken to ensure that not only the equipment, but the product, achieves the company quality standard and is signed off by the Production team and Plant Quality. Working to the highest safety standards we work to a Destination Zero, A journey to Zero Harm to ensure that any equipment supplied is safe for all to use and compliant to all machinery directive and European standards. The systems installed are fully CE marked.
