ABOUT ROBERT HANCOCK

Bob is an Equity Partner in the Business Litigation Section, Construction Law Practice Group at Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP. In addition to his solid legal experience, he also brings several years of construction management experience in commercial, heavy highway, and industrial process construction for companies such as H. B. Zachry, W. S. Bellows and Austin Commercial. While completing his law degree at Texas Tech University School of Law, Bob was Chairman of Mock Trial and recipient of the Texas Tech Board of Barrister’s Scholarship. He received recognition as a Texas Super Lawyer in 2014 and a Texas Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2006. Bob also served as Chairman of the Construction Section of the Houston Bar Association and Sits on Houston and State legislative drafting and review committees for AGC of Texas and ABC and is a past board of director member for ABC. Practice Emphasis:Bob’s law practice includes construction law, complex commercial litigation, corporate disputes, contract disputes, general litigation, arbitration, mediation, transactional drafting & negotiation, including representation of general contractors, subcontractors, owners, suppliers, sureties, insurers, governmental entities, industry affiliations, associations, employers, design professionals and other parties in contract negotiations, contract disputes, lien claims, bond claims, payment disputes, construction defect lawsuits, delay claims, acceleration claims, insurance coverage matters, legislative drafting and review during legislative sessions, governmental relations, employment matters, personal injury cases, environmental disputes, toxic tort matters and supervision of and representation in litigation and arbitration in multiple states as direct or outside counsel in local, district, parish and federal courts and various arbitration forums.
