Chevron MWSS PC & WPWP ProjectDeputy Process Lead for the initial portion of the FEED phase of the Chevron Midway Sunset (MWSS) Plant Consolidation (PC) and Westside Produced Water Projects (WPWP).SCS HECA ProjectProcess Lead for the Gas Treatment area on the FEED phase of an Integrated Gasification Combined-Cycle (IGCC) Power/Fertilizer production project that includes carbon capture. The plant produces power and fertilizer using synthesis gas from a coal/coke mixture that is gasified in a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Oxygen Blown Dry Feed Gasifier. Synthesis gas (syngas) produced in the Gasifier is then purified before being used to produce electric power in a MHI combined cycle plant, and fertilizer (ammonia / urea / UAN). Gas Treatment area facilities include Syngas Scrubbing / Sour CO Shift / Low Temperature Gas Cooling (LTGC)/ Mercury Removal / Sour Water Treatment.IGCC ProjectLead Process Engineer on a Pre-Feasibility Study for an Integrated Gasification Combined-Cycle (IGCC) Power Plant with carbon capture capability. The plant would generate 300-400 MW using coal gasified in a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Oxygen Enriched Air-Blown Dry Feed Gasifier. Synthesis gas (syngas) produced in the Gasifier would then be purified before being used to produce electric power in a MHI combined cycle plant. The plan also included implementing the Project in two phases, with cost effective addition of carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) at some future time after an initial commercial operating period without CCS.
