ABOUT ROBERT GOMEZ
As an AOD Support Staff 1 at Positive Steps, I provide compassionate and results-oriented support to individuals struggling with addiction and mental health challenges. I have been working in this role since March 2024, after completing a prestigious fellowship program with the Creating Restorative Opportunities And Programs(CROP), which trains and empowers formerly incarcerated people to become reentry professionals and advocates.With seven years of experience in the substance abuse field, I have proven my ability to build rapport, assess needs, implement evidence-based therapies, and empower clients to achieve lasting recovery. I am also a certified GOGI Life Coach, which enables me to facilitate peer-led groups and workshops based on the Getting Out by Going In (GOGI) curriculum, a powerful tool for personal transformation and social change. I am dedicated to fostering a safe and supportive environment for individuals seeking self-improvement and reintegration into society.
