ABOUT ROBERT F. RICHARDSON
Dr. Richardson is a Senior Attending Physician in the Neurological Institute at University Hospitals of Cleveland. He is a clinical associate professor of neurology at Case Western Reserve University. He is the former Director of Neurology at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, and former Director of Neurology at South Pointe Hospital. He is a medical graduate of Case Western Reserve University and graduate of Stanford University. He also teaches medical residents. He led successful efforts at St. Vincent and South Pointe Hospitals for their national certification and recertification from JCAHO as Primary Stroke Centers. He is interested in stroke and multiple sclerosis education in Cleveland’s African-American community because he believes knowledge improves access to medical care. To this end, he speaks on stroke when possible, and is Vice-President of the Board, and medical advisor for, the Kym Sellers Foundation, a foundation providing education on multiple sclerosis.He was born in Memphis, TN, and has lived all over the country, in England, and in Germany.Specialties: General Adult Neurology and Electromyography
