ABOUT ROBERT D.

I am Professor of Intelligence and National Security and currently the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business, Law and Politics. I will become the Dean of the newly autonomous Hull University Business School in August 2025. I was previously the Head of the School of Criminology, Sociology and Policing at the University of Hull. I am also a Member of University Senate, and the University\'s Executive. I am Senate\'s representative on University Council.I have previously worked at the University of Leicester as an Associate Professor of Intelligence and International Security. Prior to that I worked as a Senior Lecturer in International Relations at Loughborough University where I was also the Director of the Glendonbrook Institute for Enterprise Development at Loughborough University in London and Associate Dean for Enterprise at Loughborough University in London (LUiL). From 2012 to 2013 I was the Academic Theme Developer for the Secure and Resilient Societies Strand, which is a key element in the University’s process of revising its core strategic approach. I have also worked at King\'s College London and the University of Bristol. I have served as an elected member of University Senate (and related sub-committees) at Loughborough University, and now at the University of Hull, where I am also a member of University Council. I have been on the appointment panel for two Vice Chancellors, also at Loughborough and Hull.
