Robert Craig’s consulting practice is focused on providing carbon management and sustainability solutions for clients. This includes understanding carbon policy and pricing, managing risk, and supporting new technology deployment opportunities. Robert was founding participant and director of the Integrated CO2 Network, or ICO2N. ICO2N was a globally unique enterprise created by industry to establish the business case for carbon capture and storage (CCS) and enable deployment in Canada. ICO2N achieved widespread industry, government and public support for CCS which resulted in $3.5 billion in government funding for CCS deployment. Robert continues to advise clients on CCS projects in Western Canada. Robert provided input to the Steering and Technical Committees for the Canadian Oil Sands Innovation Alliance (COSIA), for the CarbonX Prize. Robert has acted as board advisor to a natural gas production and power developer.Recently Robert partnered to deploy a novel U.S. carbon capture technology in Canada. This experience provides clients insight on the deployment pathway for early stage carbon reduction technologies from concept to business case. This includes technical and economic screening, market exploration, risk-assessment, and financing alternatives.
