Reporting to the Commissioner of Emergency Communications and Management, I lead the development, coordination, and implementation of the City’s Emergency Management Program.Key Accomplishments:Directed the 2025 Hazard Mitigation Program Update, integrating resilience strategies and interdepartmental priorities.Expanded the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program through regular training, outreach, and mutual aid partnerships.Established a working group with city agencies and all higher-education institutions in Worcester.Manage $1M+ in emergency management assets, including mass care resources, Incident Command and EOC facilities, emergency vehicles, incident management systems, and hostile vehicle mitigation equipment.Secured funding from CRHSAC for radio infrastructure upgrades supporting interoperability, as well as Hostile Vehicle Mitigation equipment.Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of critical infrastructure and community assets.Provide operational and planning support for special events and mass gatherings, integrating public safety, logistics, and threat mitigation.Collaborate with state and federal partners (MEMA, FEMA, DHS) on mitigation planning, grants, and regional initiatives.Notable Training/Certifications:Massachusetts Professional Emergency ManagerAHIMT - Task Force Team LeaderAHIMT - Division/Group SupervisorCritical Infrastructure Protection CertificatePER-346 SURVEILLANCE DETECTION FOR BOMBING PREVENTION
