A defense sector expert and former senior Army leader (Colonel), with over 35 years of documented success leading adaptable and high performing teams in solving problems in uncertain environments at the international, national, strategic and operational levels. He successfully completed 9-combat tours, six in Iraq, and three in Afghanistan. He has extensive expertise in engaging with senior US civilian and military leaders, government agencies, regional partner nations, and senior foreign government dignitaries and officials. He possesses a regional and international expertise in the Middle East (Levant, Arabian Peninsula, Central Asian States), and in the Horn of Africa. He has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Middle East and the diverse sociopolitical factors of the region. He has demonstrated experience and success in developing and implementing security cooperation plans, understanding security assistance, and improving interoperability between US forces and regional partners across the USCENTCOM theater of operations. He has demonstrated the capability to provide critical analysis and innovative solutions to complex problems, especially in politically sensitive, time sensitive, or resource constrained environments. A specialized expert in developing organizational tasks to effectively support the organizations strategic goals.
