ABOUT ROBERT CARROLL

Robert T. Carroll is a public health/clinical education program management professional with more than 25 years of experience in developing and administering non-profit, public health and HIV/STD programs. He has strong leadership experience in all phases and knowledge areas of project management, planning, execution, and quality assurance. Mr. Carroll has specific expertise in program planning and direction within diverse rural and urban populations, and a proven record of initiating, building and maintaining collaborative coalitions and community partnerships. Mr. Carroll also offers more than a decade’s experience providing extensive project and course management services and support, including needs assessments, evaluating and reporting, SMART work plans development, faculty coordination and development, event planning and marketing, remote onsite support/management, technical assistance for contract and grant implementation, and coordination for federally mandated meetings. Recently Mr. Carroll directed a CME/CNE curriculum development project for NIDA, focused on opioid pain medication addiction and safe prescribing practices. His management of the development process won his team the NIDA Director’s Award of Merit. Currently he is supporting the development and dissemination of a suicide prevention app - Suicide SAFE - for SAMHSA, providing his expertise in conducting formative research and supporting development of strategy and content for the app. Mr. Carroll also brings a strong background in professional organization leadership. For more than a decade, he has served in numerous local and national leadership roles within the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (ANAC), including his recent role as national President (20••••13). He has played a key role in the development, implementation, and dissemination of organization Policy and Positions, and has represented ANAC’s interests around the world in professional, public, and governmental arenas.
