Responsible for the survivability of spacecraft in all near Earth environments (LEO, MEO, GEO) and interplanetary missions. Subject matter expert in radiation effects, spacecraft charging, EMI/EMC, atomic oxygen effects, micrometeoroid/orbital debris, contamination (outgassing, liquid propulsion, electric propulsion), humidity and helium exposure, space weather monitoring and forecasting.Perform characterization/validation testing of electronics/materials in any of the above subject areas. Derive environmental requirements as necessary for customer defined mission profiles.Proficient with analysis tools for each subject area.
