ABOUT ROBERT CAMPBELL

I am a Technical CISO/Enterprise Security Architect with 30+ years IT experience, 24 in Information Security. I have been formally trained in security consultancy and architecture methodologies. I achieved my CISSP certification in 2004. I have extensive experience with the ISO series of standards and its previous incarnations. I have 10+ years in the financial/insurance sectors, 2 in Asset Management and another 10+ years experience in the Government sector. In that time I have developed security strategy, performed risk assessment and compliance roles as well as designed, developed and implemented solutions compliant with industry standards. I have experience in developing and have delivered presentations and training material. I have carefully and very deliberately selected roles, which have provided me with a mixture of management, architecture, implementation and support skills. Today I primarily work in the Enterprise space working on enterprise security architecture, strategy and roadmaps.I started my IT career supporting networks and operating systems (Windows, Unix and Netware). That experience has been essential in my information security career. It has provided a foundation that allows me to cross disciplines, as is often necessary when designing and assessing environments, as well as managing suppliers in a hosting environment. It has allowed me to challenge suppliers and improve the service offering from a position of knowledge.I have worked to tight deadlines in very complex environments including large multimillion pound programmes.
