About Robert Campbell

With a personal ambition to deliver significantly above-average returns while managing risk, I’ve built a career in commercial real estate focused on strategic value creation across the full deal cycle. Since 2005, I’ve held roles in both the U.S. and Australia, spanning investment sales, leasing, CRE tax strategy, and portfolio management. Early in my career, I brokered retail and office deals across Orlando and Tampa, including a 9-acre negotiation with Tupperware Corporation for Waterford Construction’s first Orlando office park. I later joined Westfield in Sydney, leasing marquee assets like Westfield Parramatta—then Australia’s second-largest shopping centre with over 480 tenants. Today, as Director of Real Estate Investments for The Root Company, I lead a team responsible for maximizing the performance of a diverse portfolio of grocery-anchored retail, office, industrial, and land assets. As a family office, our strategy emphasizes long-term value creation, with a focus on 1031 exchanges—divesting land holdings to acquire income-producing commercial properties. Outside of work, I’ve had the privilege of living and working abroad for nearly a decade, and I continue to pursue purpose-driven missions travel with Christian Surfers International and other organizations to Indonesia, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, and Jamaica. I also enjoy time with my family, surfing, and fishing along the Florida coast. I\'m actively engaged in the real estate and business community, serving on committees and boards for the Daytona Beach Area Association of REALTORS®, Team Volusia Economic Development Corporation, the Florida Family Office Forum, and the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce. I’m also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and VCARD (Volusia County Association for Responsible Development).
