About Robert Campbell
2023 marks my 36th year in drug discovery. It\'s been a pleasure to both lead and contribute to efforts which benefit patients with unmet medical needs. I have recently returned to Biotech/start-up (2020) and have thoroughly enjoying the novel science, speed of innovation, raid/committed decision-making, lack of corporate bureaucracy, interactions (both business and science), and intense passion and drive of my co-workers. My main goals remain simple: 1) Bring novel drugs to the clinic as rapidly as possible to the right patients, and 2) Motivate and mentor the next generations of drug discovery scientists so that they may continue to advance drug discovery for the benefit of patients worldwide. In my luxurious free time, I am the Editor-in-Chief for SLAS Discovery (formerly Journal of Biomolecular Screening), play drums, & contributing writer/photographer for Modern Drummer and Not So Modern Drummer magazines.
