I am a Senior Engineer / Senior Project Manager with past oversight in roadway and bridge infrastructure design and construction in Colorado. My experience includes eleven years in the private sector, preceded by 28 years at the Colorado DOT performing transportation engineering, program management, corridor planning, and construction. Ensuring design, construction, and operations quality is my area of expertise. I have significant experience working on a variety of civil / transportation / traffic engineering projects located in all geographic regions of Colorado (urban, rural, mountains, and plains). My past includes extensive unit supervising and personnel management leading design, construction, and public/private support teams, while partnering with various stakeholders including state and local government agencies, planners, designers, and contractors. My past work experience is well rounded and includes highway field engineering (testing, surveying, and inspection), project engineering (construction), project management (planning, design, cost estimating, plans & specifications development, project advertisements), corridor conceptual design and construction/operations quality management for D/B/B, CM/GC, and D/B projects. I also have extensive experience in public involvement, environmental oversight, context sensitive design, agency construction, DOT/County/City project and resident engineering, property negotiations, utilities oversight, and area safety support. I currently work for a consulting firm performing project management for the City of Colorado Springs PPRTA Program. Recently I finished several LA construction projects for Arapahoe County, the City of Aurora, and El Paso County. I currently manage design and construction for several City of Colo Springs projects with corridor costs over $100 M. I can support and execute consultant highway infrastructure business development, perform CDOT and Local Agency contract administration, support an overall quality program, and/or oversee a variety of construction projects as a professional engineer.
