ABOUT ROBERT BRINDLEY

Contact centre professional specialising in Workforce Management (WFM) software and Resource Planning. Competent in all stages of the planning lifecycle; Long/Medium/Short term planning, forecasting, budgeting, interval modelling and reporting.Focused on delivering change through implementations, system upgrades and integrations with workload distribution systems. Expert user of NICE IEX WFM; I know what’s ‘under the hood’, how to make it work, and more importantly how to manage relationships with third-parties and NICE to get the best out of the system.Too many businesses see - and in fairness - are sold WFM as a silver bullet to solve all your planning problems and reduce planning headcount. The reality requires a pragmatist, like me, to embed processes that complement the system features and fit into the planning lifecycle.I’ve supported organisations with traditional on-premise, hosted and pure-play SaaS solutions; so I understand how the technological differences between these and how this affects the choice of integration technology. I’ve been an advanced user of technology since the mid-90s, turning my hand to scripts, querying databases and calling APIs professionally, while maintaining a handful of Raspberry Pi projects in my spare time.I’m a solid all-round expert user of Excel for building practical planning processes. That includes being competent with all key functions, Power Query for querying databases / flat files and transforming data for report building, custom hand-written VBA for appropriate automation and custom functions.I don’t stand still. My philosophy has always been to self-learn; where there’s a problem or a process that seems clunky, there’s usually a better way to do it!My motivation is delivery and problem solving; taking on a problem, finding the best solution and putting that solution in place with the support it needs to function once I’ve moved on. In short - bringing order to chaos!
