ABOUT ROBERT KIRKWOOD

Strategic Financial Executive with over 20 years of broad experience in finance and operations. Experience with capital raising, mergers and acquisitions.Currently, Bob Kirkwood is chief financial officer at Lument and chief executive officer of Lument Securities. As a member of the senior leadership team, Bob takes part in planning the strategic direction of Lument. He is responsible for directing the accounting, financial planning & analysis, finance, treasury, administration, and RE Technology departments of Lument, as well as oversight of the firm’s sales and trading desk. In October 2020, ORIX Real Estate Capital combined the Lancaster Pollard, RED Capital Group, and Hunt Real Estate Capital brands to form Lument.Lument delivers a comprehensive set of capital solutions customized for investors in multifamily, affordable housing, seniors housing & healthcare, and other commercial real estate asset types. Lument is a Fannie Mae DUS®, Freddie Mac Optigo®, HUD/FHA, and USDA lender. In addition, Lument offers a suite of proprietary commercial lending and investment banking solutions. As a member of the executive committee, he helped set the strategic direction of the firm, in addition to managing relationships with banking partners.Prior to joining Lancaster Pollard in 2014, he was CFO and senior managing director at RED Capital Group. He began his career as a member of the financial services audit practice of KPMG, LLP, primarily serving banking and commercial real estate clients.Bob graduated from The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting. He is an inactive certified public accountant (CPA) and holds general securities representative (Series 7), general securities principal (Series 24), and financial and operations principal (Series 27) licenses.
