Today I am the Chief Administrative Officer for the Southern California Permanente Medical Group responsible for our Strategy, Operations, and performance in the Riverside Area. We care for over patients in 2KP Hospitals, 5 Plan contract hospitals, 12 Medical Office Buildings throughout the county, and through a network of SZnF\'s snd in our patients homes. Our medical group in Riverside is made up of 675+ physicians, and over 2500 staff. I am thrilled to be part of Kaiser Permanente, proud of our mission, our care, quality and reputation as an excellent employer. I am currently the Executive Sponsor of our Post Graduate Fellowship for KP in Southern California and serve as Board Chair for the AHA in the Inland Empire. Prior to this role I was the senior executive leader (CAO) in the South Bay SCAL Area with KP for 8 years. Prior to that I was our Regional Manager of Operations and Quality where my primary passion was oversight for our work to optimize quality and population health throughout Southern California. I was an Assistant Medical Group Administrator in both KP Downey and Riverside areas for over 14 years. I began my career with KP as an Administrative Resident and then a Finance Director at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Downey. Prior to joining KP I worked as a Clinical Lab Scientist in both staff and supervisory roles and before that many other hospital entry level roles where I developed my love for snd foundation in health care. I loved every one of those jobs! I received my BS from the U of Utah in Medical Technology and my MPH in Health Services Management from UCLA. I am a California native and love what I do. I speak fluent Spanish and am an Eagle Scout. My passions are travel, reading, and my four boys and our family. Finally, I have a passion for Diversity and Inclusion and in mentoring and developing young leaders. That is where I believe we leave a lasting legacy.

   I am the senior business leader for The Southern California Permanente Medical Group responsible for Riverside Area. KP cares for over members throughout the county. Bob is accountable for the service, access, quality, affordability, and strategic planning for care provided to KP members across Riverside County. We have a wonderful medical group with over 650 physicians, and staff. Riverside is a unique area in Southern California given the geography and associated challenges. The distance between Medical Offices is much greater in Riverside County given our membership densities. KP Riverside operates 2 hospitals that are KP owned, and we have 6 plan hospitals across the county, only 10 plan hospital relationships serve our entire SCAL region. Optimizing our care in so many hospitals and across such a large county is very challenging and poses unique opportunities for leaders. Since joining Riverside I have restructured our senior team in an effort to better align and strengthen our performance culture, the team is improving service, quality, and access to care, while also strengthening our culture of engagement, kindness and accountability. Capital Planning and Expansion in this role is a critical priority and area of focus for me given our rapid growth. Riverside also maintains and maintains over 200 professional contracts with non KP physicians and other health care providers supporting care to our members in some areas of our county. I continue to serve as leader and Executive Sponsor for our regional Kaiser Permanente Post Graduate Fellowship Program where we recruit the highest caliber Administrative Fellows to KP SCAL for a two year experience with us. My passion for building strong culture, improving quality over a large population, Mentoring, and leading Diversity and Inclusion Continues in this challenging and exciting role with KP and SCPMG in Riverside.
