Rob Beamer is a multiligual, seasoned financial professional in non-profit / higher ed. Holding Series 7 and 66 licenses and AFA (Accredited Financial Analyst) certification, he was most recently with Thrivent Financial, a non-for-profit Fortune 500 firm. Beamer also teaches finance at both undergraduate and graduate levels at CSU Channel Islands.With nearly two decades of experience across startups, higher education, and finance, Beamer has held diverse roles. Beamer also served as Director of Corporate Executive Education and the Executive MBA Programs at Loyola Marymount University, where he taught Leadership and Innovation as EMBA faculty. Under his leadership, these programs generated over $20 million in annual revenue. Beamer and his wife lived on LMU’s campus for four years as 24/7 resident ministers. At UCLA, he has served as faculty of record for several courses, a Fellow since 2018, a GAP Finance Assistant since 2020, and an expert panelist for the final capstone presentations. From 2015 to 2022, he coached NCAA Cross Country and Track & Field and directed the program’s summer camps from 20••••17. He also taught in the California Community College System and held roles at institutions such as Notre Dame (Assistant Director, Fisher College), UC Santa Barbara (Athletics Coach and Media Relations Director), and USD Law School (Admissions and Financial Aid). Earlier in his career, he worked in secondary education as a teacher, administrator, and coach. Additionally, Beamer moonlit as a social worker, achieving ISP status through CA-DOR and contracting with several CA and national nonprofits in human services and behavioral health.Entrepreneurially, Beamer was the 2009 runner-up in the Notre Dame Business Plan Competition, collaborating with TED Fellows Geoffrey Siwo and Leila Janah to develop a user-friendly global SMS platform. In 2012, he co-founded the Santa Barbara Track Club, helping athletes qualify for the Rio and Tokyo Olympics. In 2014, he joined the founding board of St. Therese Classical Academy, later serving as Director of Marketing.Striving to live according to the Renaissance ideal of full engagement in life’s pursuits, Beamer is a SAG-AFTRA member with acting experience, a musician, a Tenshi Goju Ryu martial artist, and finished second place in his age group for three consecutive years in the LA marathon (20••••08). He holds multiple degrees: a BA and MA from the University of San Diego, an MA from Notre Dame, and an MBA from UCLA. Beamer resides in Ventura County with his wife Amy, and their young sons, Daniel and Andrew.
