ABOUT ROBERT BARBOUR
I am a highly accomplished senior data professional with over 21 years of experience. I spent 14 fantastic progressive career years with Accenture, working globally on large-scale transformation projects in Asia, Europe, the UK, and Africa in Government, Comms & High Tech, and Banking sectors. Throughout this, my primary discipline and expertise was data engineering/analytics. Due to the large-scale programmes I worked on, I obtained experience across all parts of the delivery lifecycle and worked closely with business change teams. I am currently the Group Data and Insights Director, covering all data aspects: Data Privacy, Data Governance, Data and Analytics Engineering, and Data Science at Travis Perkins PLC, the UK\'s largest distributor of building materials. I am a BCS Fellow and a sponsor/ally for the Women in Data network at Travis Perkins PLC. In 2023, I became a Non-Executive Director for the GS1 UK Board, representing the UK construction sector to champion its use in accelerating digitisation across our construction supplies chains, enabling better sustainability, building safety and traceability. I also featured in the DataIQ 100 for 2023,2024 and 2026.
