I am a recent graduate of Muhlenberg College with a growing passion for cybersecurity, particularly in the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) sector. My interest in this field was inspired by a mentor who encouraged me to explore various career paths with an open mind. As I continue to develop my skills, I am focused on building a deep understanding of information security and GRC to pursue a fulfilling career in this space.Currently, I work as an Area Manager at Amazon’s BDL3 fulfillment center in North Haven, Connecticut. In this high-volume, high-performance site, I lead a team of associates, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring we meet strict performance and safety goals. I manage key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, efficiency, and quality while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance. My role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing workflow optimization, and continuously identifying opportunities for process improvement to increase operational efficiency.In addition to managing day-to-day operations, I handle staff development by providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations to ensure all team members thrive and contribute effectively to the center’s success. I also work closely with senior leadership to implement strategic initiatives, handle capacity planning, and troubleshoot operational challenges in real-time, ensuring smooth and efficient operations at all times.Alongside my operational expertise, I am familiar with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, with experience in areas such as FISMA and NIST compliance, information system categorization, security control selection, and continuous monitoring. My experience with these frameworks has sparked my interest in pursuing a career focused on GRC in the cybersecurity field.While my primary focus is on GRC, I am also open to exploring career opportunities in management, operations, and marketing. I am a lifelong learner who believes in applying knowledge creatively and consistently evolving both personally and professionally.
