The includes funding the book in capital markets with long-term debt, floating rates notes (FRN’s) and managing capital and related minimum capital and leverage ratios. Accountabilities also include hedging loans and debt with amortizing and plain vanilla interest rate swaps, managing cashflow and interest rate risk, investment strategy of surplus cash and quarterly analysis of actual results vs. Budget and Forecast.• Financial Reporting and Financial Management including preparing quarterly financial statements and notes, MD & A, external reporting, management of the external audit, A/P, A/R, project accounting and presentation of results to the Finance and Audit Committee, the Real Estate and Lending Committee, Ministry of Infrastructure (MOI) and Executive team.Accomplishments• Improved Net Interest Margin $3M+ with new investment strategy on surplus cash. Created structural analysis which measures and explains treasury results based on the movement of key anchor rates, changes in loan, investment, capital and swaps portfolios and management actions. This analysis proactively answers 99% of enquiries coming from Senior Management and the Board and significantly reduces requests for additional information after results are released.• Improved FP & A foundational processes which enhanced effectiveness of team in delivering a more complete and thorough analysis of financial results. The result is less time reacting to queries during the busy and time restricted quarter-end period.
