Due to concerns around the speed and scale of the AI rollout by the largest technology companies, I am today the CEO and co-founder of Transparency Coalition, an non-profit. Our mission is protect our citizens, starting with our kids, from AI harms through AI education and advocacy. We work primarily at the state level. We cannot let the completely failed 20 year policy experiment to let social media go unregulated play out again with AI.From my previous 25+ years in tech management: Long experience and hopefully some wisdom in leadership, strategic decision making, and playing the long game. A four-time CEO with deep first hand knowledge of team building (hiring, communication, training & certification, parting ways), capital markets and fund raising, board management, M&A, long term financial planning and short term cash flow / expense management - pretty much soup-to-nuts knowledge of small business (1-500 employees) management and leadership. A PhD dissertation length list of what not to do available upon request (that\'s a joke - it\'s too painful to write).More specifically, expertise in aligning key aspects of B2B go-to-market strategy – strengths of product/service, positioning, pricing, partner ecosystem, lead flow, channels, cost-of-sales, and customer “buying model” - for repeatability and revenue acceleration. Strong experience and hard lessons in strategic product marketing – packaging a “whole product” for specific market segments and channels.Sophisticated in market-facing relationship management with key customers, strategic partners, investors, and analysts. First-hand knowledge building direct teams and channel partners in B2B sales ranging from high volume telesales to multi-million dollar business development deals.

   The Transparency Coalition is a non-profit organization committed to supporting policymakers to implement common sense legislation around Artificial Intelligence (AI) to better protect the interests of US citizens, starting with our kids. In short, we exist to do everything we can to avoid a repeat of the failed policy experiment of taking hands off approach social media, which did irreparable harm to a generation of our youth. Our specific areas of focus are 1) bring more transparency to AI inputs (training data) and outputs (labeling); making deepfakes or unauthorized use of one\'s name, voice, likeness illegal; and 3) to legislate a Duty of Care and accountability for AI products using product liability laws with 120+ years of legal precedent. We are a non-partisan, action-oriented organization with a voice for an otherwise overwhelmed general public, and a general demand for AI safety.
