Reporting to the Director of Brand & Communications, the Corporate Communications Specialist is a key member of the DUC MarCom team. In this role, I work to grow awareness and drive priority positioning messages across media relations and communications materials. As a strategic thinker and strong collaborator, I gather and validate the necessary information from internal and external sources to best highlight DUC\'s strengths and accomplishments.Key responsibilities- Prepare press releases and oversee their distribution and media outreach on DUC\'s media platform- Coordinate content approvals, manage translations, gather digital assets, and ensure links and references function correctly- Respond to media inquiries and draft media responses for approval- Facilitate press interviews and prepare spokespeople with media talking points and coaching- Establish and maintain relationships with agencies, media outlets, and internal knowledge sources- Stay informed on organizational objectives, policies, programs, and positioning to optimize communications and brand collateral- Support the preparation and editing of organizational publications and reports- Monitor media coverage and trending topics, suggesting opportunities to enhance brand reach and awareness- Act as a brand steward, facilitate internal training, escalate reputational concerns, and support crisis communication effortsDucks Unlimited Canada is proud to be recognized as a non-profit employer of choice.
