About Robbyn Scribner
I\'ve spent my career focused on helping women build successful career pathways. As a woman who took a career break to focus on family responsibilities, I know how hard it can be for us to stay professionally engaged and find successful work again after a break. It is my mission to help women overcome these barriers! My current focus is on Tech-Moms, a program designed to help women learn about the tech industry and transition into tech careers. In addition to providing great technical training and demystifying the industry, our biggest selling point is that we are creating a strong community of women who quickly learn that they belong in tech and can be successful there. I\'ve also created a women\'s career re-entry program that isn\'t tied to any specific industry-this program focuses on all the little barriers that women face after a career break, especially when they don\'t have a support structure to help them re-enter the workforce. I have talked to countless women over the years who are ready to go back to work (and NEED to go back to work) and have no idea where to start. It is so fulfilling to see how lives can change in such a short time. This work is so important. My ability to do this work comes from years of research, writing, speaking, and training on women\'s workforce issues. I was lucky enough to work with Dr. Susan Madsen at the Utah Women & Leadership Project for 5 years, where I wrote more than 30 reports and articles on women\'s lives, all based on solid data. I\'m grateful for all the amazing women and men I\'ve connected with in hundreds of organizations around the state who are committed to supporting us in this work. I love to speak, train, and present. Some of my favorite workshops have focused on Engaging Male Allies, Negotiation and Other Critical Conversations, Networking, Career Re-Entry, Workplace Flexibility, and Creating Workplaces that Work for Women. If you know women who are looking to re-enter the workforce, please send them my way! And if your company is looking for better ways to attract, hire, retain, and promote women, please reach out-I can help you!
