ABOUT ROBBY OGILVIE
HI, I\'m a UX Designer with a passion for creating research based, human-centric design solutions. I have recently transitioned into the UX space after completing the UX Design Professional Diploma via UX Design Institute, which has given me a strong foundation of the research methodologies and design principles in creating great products. So what has got me to this point? In a way I am returning to my design routes as I have a BSc (Hons) in Integrated Product Design and an MA in Contemporary Art Theory. I have a creative, entrepreneurial and proactive work ethic engrained within me, my 9 year professional journey has been wide and varied and has taken me from Edinburgh, London, Florence and Hong Kong with careers in the; financial, creative, education and hospitality sectors. I have extensive experience and commercial success in Sales, Client Relationship Management and Business Development. Without realising it at the time I was doing UX all along, finding ways to help other people by showing empathy and solving human problems. I aim to utilise this experience with my new found knowledge of UX to create intuitive products with great human experiences. Key Skills- User Research & Analyses - Design Solutions - Prototyping and Wireframing (Figma + Adobe XD)- Adobe Creative Cloud Outside this my main interests are photography (I have self published 2 travel books) and walking which I do through my walking social club Bobby Walks which I set up to promote community and mental health awareness (@bobbywalksclub - go check it out) Currently based in Edinburgh UK but open to relocation or remote working.
