ABOUT ROBBIE Q. ROBB TELFER TELFER
I\'m a writer and performance artist who co-founded the live literary variety show the Encyclopedia Show, which has been staged in over 25 cities worldwide. For years, I was the main organizer for the world\'s largest youth poetry festival called Louder Than A Bomb. In 2007 I was an individual finalist at the National Poetry Slam, and in 2009 my first book of poetry, Spiking the Sucker Punch, was published by Write Bloody Publishing. I\'ve performed in hundreds of shows in dozens of cities in the US, Canada, Germany, Slovenia, and Sweden. I also wrote for the Nintendo DS video game Ninjatown and the iPhone game Space Miner: Space Ore Bust. I am also a conservationist and environmental education professional. I worked for more than three years at the Field Museum as a community organizer for the bi-state Calumet region, engaging people with their local natural spaces. I was the Adult Learning Programs Assistant for the Morton Arboretum for 5 years and the Program Director of Friends of Illinois Nature Preserves for 1 year. I ran the programming of the Wild Things conference in 2025 for 2600 attendees.
