As an associate and project manager with the firm I strive to balance my time between project management, business development and architectural design. I am fortunate to wear several hats at SOA, one, born from my former career in commercial real estate development, which guides my business interests and two, as a designer, who came to the architectural profession at mid-life, bringing a new, wide-eyed freedom of expression unfettered and open to possibilities. The intersection of these two paths has created great synergy and re-energized this stage of my life. SOA has fueled my passion for architecture through the continued support of my aesthetic desires and sensibilities: to find unique expressions for the mundane, special functions for the ordinary, and the joy of creating spaces which engage, enthuse and nurture those who interact with the design. I strive to find the unique in each project and to make it integral and functional. SOA has provided the form and license to engage in this personal endeavor. My interests lie in sustainable design, lighting, planning, management and office happy hours - though not necessarily in that order.
