I\'ve always been a science nerd at heart. My career has taken a few interesting turns, but science has always been the common thread. I found my way into food science later on and quickly became fascinated by the chemistry and microbiology behind how food is produced and kept safe.Today, I lead a team of chemists and microbiologists focused on monitoring product quality and safety. I also help shape the strategic direction of our Technical Services Laboratories, making sure we\'re pursuing the best science for our customers. Over the years, I’ve helped grow our lab team from 26 to 42 staff and have implemented advanced technologies like next-generation sequencing and high-throughput liquid handling to improve our testing capabilities.I’ve had the chance to present our lab’s performance and efficiencies to universities and colleges. I couldn’t be prouder of the team we’ve built together and the work we continue to do.
